Chapter Eight: The Prophecy

“ Who are The Assassins?” asked Bramble. Gaby shook her head, “ I don’t know! I think some highly trained killers!” Bramble and Gaby ( the ocelot ) were hidden in a mini cave.
“ Why did you attack us then?” hissed Bramble silently. “ I thought you were some of the assassins, but when I caught your scent I realized you weren’t one of them,” explained Gaby. They sat quietly in the darkness of the cave. Then something grabbed Bramble and his vision blacked out.

Bramble looked around. He saw a black wolf with a white underbelly looking at him. Bramble had just woke up. He was to weak to move his paws. The wolf dragged him out. He caught a glimpse of where he was. It was another cave. Dead animals laid limp in the cave and dried blood was splattered everywhere.
Must have been The Assassins Bramble guessed. As he kept looking at the cave, he would’ve guessed a whole tribe would have attacked those dead assassins. Then as he examined the animals, he realized the wolf who was dragging him did it. Bramble finally had his strength rebooted in him and he tripped the wolf. The wolf jumped up and dodged. The wolf clawed him in his belly. Bramble yelped in pain and fell.
“Good thing I didn’t kill you on accident,” the wolf groaned. Bramble felt weak again and the wolf kept dragging him. They exited the cave and the daylight flashed in his face. They were in the mountains. Wind whipped around his face and his vision went blurry. Bramble fell asleep again.

Bramble woke up (again). He saw two other animals. Bramble guessed they were dead, but they weren’t brutally attacked. One was another cat ( like him ). It had dark blue eyes and a grey pelt. The other one was a pup and had a silver pelt. It had a white paw. He was in a den. Bramble walked out of the den. It was a mini camp.
There was another den near him. Bramble looked in the den. He saw Roxy, Sky, Kollin, and Gaby there. They were brutally attacked, with scars everywhere. Bramble rushed to Sky. She was breathing, and so was Kollin, Roxy, and Gaby. Bramble sighed in relief and walked out. Then he felt something on his neck. Bramble saw it was a cat holding a claw at his neck.
“ Get me out of here,” said the cat. Bramble backed away a bit, “ I want to get out too!”
“Well then lets go,” said the cat, running away.
“ What a shame,” said a voice. The wolf held a claw up to the cat’s neck.
“What do you want?” hissed Bramble. The wolf looked up, “ Friends.”
“Well go find your own friends in the underworld!” hissed the cat. Bramble gasped, the underworld was where evil dead animals went. Bramble knew The Stars was a place for good dead animals went.
“That isn’t very mean,” retorted the wolf.
“Who are you anyway?”
“Darken, you’re not very nice  by the way, Night,” commented Darken. The cat who was supposedly named Night backed away in surprise.
“Your friend here named Koi is nicer than you, but I think he would like to be called Bramble,” added Darken. Bramble gasped, how did he know both of their names? Before anyone could say anything else, a silver pup walked out of a den. The pup looked at Bramble and jumped back in surprise. The pup tackled Bramble and held a claw to his heart.
“How did you get here, Bramble?” hissed the silver pup.
“WHY DOES EVERYONE KNOW MY NAME?” yelled Bramble in confusion. Night raised his paw,” I didn’t know your name.”
The pup got off Bramble. “Why did you kidnap us anyway?” asked Bramble. The pup jerked her head at Darken, “ The creep says its a prophecy.” Bramble saw the pup was five moons old.
“ How do you know that we are in some prophecy?” growled Night.
Darken looked up, “ Because i’m smarter than you three.”
“Well I’m not going with some strangers on some journey,” growled Bramble.
“We aren’t strangers since you know who we are, “Whatever! Once I become  a rebel I might join your journey, but i’m only a trainee!” hissed Bramble.
“Well I examined you. I think Ashtail was going to make you warrior, I mean I would,” explained Darken.
Bramble jumped back, was he following him? Bramble managed to ask one more question,  “What will I get out of this prophecy anyway?”
“Your mother,” replied Darken. Bramble widened his eyes. A tear escaped his eye. Bramble shook his head and nodded, “ Fine I will come.”
“Ok Bramble and Dove will come at least,” mumbled Darken.
“Who is Dove?”
“The pup,”
Bramble turned and saw Night running away. Darken ran to Night and held him in a headlock.
“Fine I will come on the stupid prophecy!” yelled Night.
“Good,” Darken grunted, “Tomorrow we will go to Leaf Tribe.”

  1. Apparently, I found your blog.

It's pretty interesting so far, but I've never recalled Bramble meeting Dove before, so he shouldn't have known her.
Just a tip to keep in mind.
